Laurie has had a love affair with jewelry practically her whole life. In her early 20's she supported herself one summer, entirely by making and selling jewelry on Wreck Beach. Although a massage practitioner by trade, as well as a writer and performer, she always kept the flame alive making jewelry to sell at festivals and for friends and family. Her journey into ceramics began one day in the last couple of years when her partner brought home some porcelain clay, which is light, fine, and responsive. She's had her hands in the dirt ever since and hasn't looked back!
